PROJECTS

The goals of the Cabinet are the following:

To establish contacts with the important institutions in Hungary and abroad, involved in Kierkegaard research, translations and publications; to establish connections with web-sites and with data-bases; to carry on continuous communication with the significant Kierkegaard centers and institutions throughout the world.

To maintain and develop the special collection of books in the Cabinet; to obtain the more important publications, manuals, recent scholarly works and basic books needed for scholars, students, translators.

To keep up to date a “Conference Schedule” – a list of the more important conferences, seminars, meetings, dedicated to Kierkegaard and to provide information about them.

To reach out to the more important scholars working on Kierkegaard, both inside Hungary and in the region.

To obtain and to forward updated information about translation seminars, grants, professional support, to assist in creating the standard publication of Kierkegaard’s works in Hungarian.

In the long run the Cabinet plans to organize workshops, book launches, to invite distinguished foreign scholars to give “master classes” and to start a publication project.
